Making Money on Pests

When Flies, Roaches or Bunnies make an appearance on your lot...turn a profit!

Click on Buy Mode
Press Control-Shift-Tab-C (For Widows) at once or Command-Shift-Tab-C (For Mac) at once
Type move_objects on in the box
Press Enter
Click on the pest
Hit Delete
Press Control-Shift-Tab-C at once
Type move_objects off in the box
Press Enter
Go back to Live Mode

What do the Potions do?

White-Cures a sick Sim
Light Green-Decreases Mood and Motives
Orange-Makes the Sim invisible
Red-Makes another Sim fall in love with your Sim
Blue-Refreshes some motives
Purple-Temporarily changes you Sim into a monster
Green-Creates an evil twin of your Sim
Yellow Reverses your Sim's Personality

Altering Your Sim's Interests

You can change your Sim's interests by purchasing magazines downtown. Reading a magazine will cause the interest area to increase one point at a time (read longer for a larger change). However this is not a situation like skillbuilding. The Sim does not actually get more points. For each point gained in an interest one point is deducted from another interest. It may take several magazines and a great deal of shuffling to get the point balance you desire.

Pests

A dog will sometimes take care of the raccoon. Dogs will also sometimes chase off the Obsessed fan (if you have Superstar Installed).

A cat will take care of Rabbits, Gophers, Mice and Roaches. The cat will improve in its ability to do this as it gains more hunting skill points. It will gain more hunting skill points by hunting. Be aware that flies turn into mice so be sure to clean up dishes and empty the trash promptly.

Stray animals that wander onto your property will also help to take care of the pests.

What skills are important to my success as a Superstar?

Build up as many points in Body, Charisma, and Creativity as possible before you begin your work in the superstar track. The more of these three that you posses the fast your Sim will progress.

How do I move up fast?

Try to do at least 3 and preferably 4-5 of the activities listed above each time you go to studio town. You can repeat an activity.
Make friends with anybodies. These are you fans.
Make friends with somebodies. These are your star power.
Go to studio town every single day!

How do I keep the obsessed fan from stealing my awards?

Make a room with only one star door entrance entrance (the star door that comes with Superstar).
Put your awards on the second floor of your house.

How do I avoid getting the Obsessed Fan in the first place?

As you are moving up the fame ladder make friends with Somebodies You need about 130 friendship points with Somebodies for each member of your family including pets.

Once the Obsessed Fan appears I have never found a non-cheat (Downloaded objects) way to get rid of him.
